About Kalk Bay Blinds

We fit blinds in a village where the windows came first and the rulebook never arrived. A Victorian sash above the Main Road strip, a skew-set cottage casement near the harbour, a deep stone reveal halfway up the mountain: this suburb simply doesn't speak ready-made, and Kalk Bay Blinds exists for exactly that reason.

How a job runs with us

  1. We measure in your light. A consultant comes to the house — morning, if your glare is a morning problem — checks each opening on its own merits and holds real fabric and slat samples up against your actual view.
  2. You get a straight answer. Where a simpler, cheaper option will do the job on a particular window, we say so. Nothing gets specified for the sake of the invoice.
  3. Our team fits it cleanly. Everything is made to order for your exact openings, installed with care around old plaster and heritage frames, with child-safe controls on anything corded — and we stand behind the work afterwards.

Living this close to the sea shapes every recommendation. Hardware gets specified with salt air in mind, fabrics are picked to handle the hard light that comes off False Bay each morning, and installs are planned around narrow lanes and out-of-square frames rather than pretending they aren't there.

There's no showroom and no sales script. Just a measure, a written quote, and an honest conversation about what your windows actually need.
